How are the mirrors made?
The mirrors are individually handmade from a single sheet of mirror, to which we add coloured and textured laminates, photographic images, lead linework and embellishments.

There are so many options - what should I choose?
We like to give as much choice as possible, so there are often several options within any of our designs.  If you are ordering an Image Mirror, take your inspiration from your chosen photograph and think which colourway will work well with it. For decorative mirrors, consider the room decor where your mirror will be displayed.

I'd like my mirror in a specific colour.  Can you do this?
All the mirrors are silver coloured.  The colours are applied when we decorate your mirror.  We have hundreds of different colours available, so if none of our standard colourways are suitable, or you want your mirror to match with something in your room, let us know when you order, send us a small sample and we'll use the colour most similar to it.

How do I fix the mirror to the wall?
Our smaller mirrors (30x40cm, 40x50cm, 12x100cm) are supplied with a fixing plate on the back, so you can hang them on a strong picture hook. Larger mirrors (60x80, 50x100, 65x100cm) are supplied with edge clips. Please let us know when ordering if you would prefer not to have a fixing plate, for example if you wanted to use mirror adhesive or clips instead, which are available from any hardware store.

How do I clean and care for my mirror?
We recommend you use a light spray of glass cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth, taking care around any embellishments or points where the lead lines meet.

What photo file do I need to upload?
We prefer jpeg files at least 300dpi and roughly the size of a standard print - 10-15cm wide, or slightly bigger if you are ordering one of our larger mirrors.  We will resize your image to fit the mirror design, but we don't edit the colours or do any cropping or other editing, so please make sure you are happy with these before you send us your image.  Remember some designs such as Strata and Curve feature irregular shaped sections for your image, so choose carefully to ensure an integral part of the image isn't lost. Bear in mind there may be slight colour variations due to monitor and print calibrations.

Can I use any image on a mirror?
Yes, within reason!  You must either own the copyright or have permission from the copyright holder to use the image, and we won't print anything pornographic or offensive in any way.

I only have my image on paper.  What do I do?
You'll need to either scan the image into a computer, or take a photograph of the image.  Use the highest quality setting your equipment offers.  If you don't have a scanner or camera, a local print shop may be able to help.

What are your delivery costs?
We offer free delivery in the UK for 30x40, 12x100 and 40x50cm mirrors. Larger mirrors are available for collection from our Hastings studio, or local delivery within a 15 mile radius. Larger mirrors can be delivered by a specialist courier in the London area (within the M25) for an additional £30.

How soon will my mirror be ready?
Because we offer so many different variations in design, size, colour and finish, it would be impossible to keep everything in stock, so most mirrors are made to order. We aim to complete Decorative mirrors within 2-3 weeks and Image mirrors 4-5 weeks from receipt of your photo. However if you need it sooner, please tell us and we'll do our best to get it to you as quickly as we can, or contact us to find out what mirrors we currently have in stock that can be sent out straight away.

I'd like to give an Image mirror as a wedding gift, but won't have any photos until afterwards.  What do I do?
You can purchase a gift certificate for any of our mirrors.  We'll send it to you in time for the wedding, then when the bride and groom have received their photos they can come to our website, choose the colours, design and style, and order using a special code on the gift certificate.

Can I return the mirror?
A lot of our mirrors are bespoke, made especially for you and so you can't return them just because you've changed your mind.  This applies to all Image Mirrors and any special colour, size or design requests.
​Decorative mirrors in standard colourways are returnable, but you must inform us you are returning it, repackage carefully in its original packaging and pay for the cost of returning it to us. You will be refunded once we have received the mirror intact.
If your mirror arrives damaged please state this on the delivery note and let us know as soon as possible, with a photograph of the damage, so we can organise a repair or replacement.
